Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Persistent Pain On One Side Of The Head?
I have had a pain on the side of my head for 48 hours. It sometimes is very sharp as I can feel my pulse in the pain. It seems to be just under the surface of the skin. The pain somewhat feels like I have been leaning against something hard like a pressure point that hurts.
Your mentioned history suggestive of migraine hedache. However kindly mention whether you are intolerable to bright light and noise and if pain Aggravated by less sleep, dehydration etc. You can be prescribed ibuprofen like medication for same.
I suggest you take enough sleep, maintain hydration and take good foods. Avoid stress as it can aggravate hedache. Dental problems can cause such pain as well. so consult physician for detailed examination.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr. Parth Goswami
