Hello,
You have history of atrophy in the left leg and
arthroscopic surgery. Persistent pain in the thigh may be indicative of Sciatica, PAD, rotator cuff tear or tendinitis,
frozen shoulder, etc. Atrophy is commonly indicative of
peripheral neuropathy or muscular dystrophy. You are suggested to get clinically examined by a
Neurologist. Get all Nerve conduction tests done, nerve and muscle biopsy and imaging tests done.
You will be treated with medicines, therapy (physical, respiratory,
occupational therapy), or surgery (corrective surgery) if required. In the meantime take vitamin B6, B12 rich food or supplements. For relieve from pain you can take NSAIDS, Naproxen or Combiflam, one SOS when required.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Nupur K., General & Family Physician
