What Causes Persistent Pain In Lower Back And Legs?

I have been having nonstop pain in my lower back and legsfor months. Sometimes it feels like a bell ringing aND sometimes its an aChe that almost burns. Especially in mY toe. My mri did not show a slipped disc or any impingement and my blood tests for metabolic and arthritus all seemed to be in the standard zone.. except wHite blood count was a little high and my alkaline phosphate was a little high at 156. If it s not arthritus or more discs what else could it possibly be? I feel like they ve not mentioned there being anything else we can test for.

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have persistent persistent pain in lower back and legs . Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like sciatica pain , lumbar disc herniation or lumbar degenerative disc disease . I would suggest you to consult orthopedic surgeon for proper examination . Doctor may order CT scan , MRI to confirm the diagnosis . Doctor may prescribe muscle relaxant along with anti inflammatory and vitamin supplement for quick healing . Doctor may also recommend particular stretching exercises . For now apply warm compresses to back and leg , take ibuprofen or acetaminophen for pain and take proper rest . Stretching exercises and physical therapy will help alot .

Hope your concern has been resolved.
