General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

As per my surgical experience, the persistent pain in left side chest post surgery of nodule removal may be related to various possibilities as:
- Underlying nerve irritation
- Stinging of unabsorbable suture material
- Ligament pull
- Costochondritis
- Others

However, in my clinic, after thorough clinical examination, I do suggest to get a soft tissue ultrasound of the local part and if needed further work up with MRI as per the results of ultrasound test.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
