I'm soon to be 62 years old. I've had pain off and on over the years in my upper right arm (between the shoulder and elbow). I thought it was from heavy duty cleaning off the winter snow and ice from my car. But the pain would last for many months. The pain was the worst when I would lift my arm up and sideways. A few years ago, I tripped over a curb onto a major street and injured my right shoulder. I was in pain for over a year after that. Same difficulty on raising my arm from the side and upwards. About 4 months ago, I slightly tripped while opening a screen door and a pain shooted from my left arm (between the shoulder and elbow, on the inner and slightly the outer side of the area). I have the same problem with pain when I lift my arm from the side. When I talked to my Doctor about the episode from tripping off the curb, she lifted my arm to the side and I when I didn't feel any pain, she told me to just exercise the arm. I have no problem lifting with my other arm now. The pain comes from trying to lift the arm on its own. I also experience pain from time to time in my outer thigh areas and when I'm sitting for a while, I feel pain while standing up. I walk very carefully because I'm afraid of moving in a wrong direction and injuring another part of my body. I should also state that I have a Benign Brain Tremor, but I don't think that really has anything to do with these problems.
