Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query persistent pain and dryness of the throat respiratory tract infection. I would suggest you to visit ENT specialist once and get it examined and start treatment after proper diagnosis. You should do warm saline gargles 3 to 4 times a day. Apply mist humidifiers in room. Get blood test done to detect level of infection. Take ibuprofen one tablet twice daily. You should use anti inflammatory pain killers. Throat lozanges one every 4 hours is helpful. Drink luke warm water throughout the day as it can provide relief. Take soft foods to avoid irritation to the throat. You should take steam inhalation.

Hope your concern has been resolved.
