What Causes Persistent Mild Abdominal Pain With Metallic Taste On The Tongue?

Hi... Doctor.. I am suffering from gerd since last 6 months.. I don t have heartburn.. Very rare and less persistent abdominal pain.. The the problem troubling me the most is metallic taste, extra saliva and gas.. Is it surely gerd?? Doctor prescribed me neopride total.. But no relief.. What to do?

Gerd is more likely and post nasal drip (which also stimulates GERD) and some medications used for blood pressure are some other possibilities. Also all other medications MIGHT. ACE inhibitors are well known to be associated with metallic taste in about 1/4 of those taking them. Any pill (vitamins) might have an odd taste. Vitamins are large and often do that.....

or, by metallic you might mean iron taste. This occurs with bleeding. This could be a serious sign if there are dark stools, black or red, then it IS a serious sign.
