What Causes Persistent Itching Around A Bruise?

itch still persisit on a minor bruise which was a result of a scrape while climb up from a ladder About 10 days ago). No trama or cuts (bruise is just under rib cage,no bleeding, skin was covered by shirt and jacket )but still itchy where the skin was scapped. No signs of infection and is healed just slight discoloration and constant itch

It sounds like that you may have gotten scratched by a nail that was on the ladder. Some signs of an infection may include pus, swelling, and a discoloration.

Getting the wound checked out and draining the wound would usually be the right treatment for this. Some doctors may suggest using antibiotics as well. This can help treat infection.
