What Causes Persistent Intrusive Thoughts?

Hello, I am distracted with my own thoughts all the time. They are not always negative. Very often I think about events that have never happened to me, like having a boyfriend or husband, kids. I have problem with public speaking and with cooperating with coworkers. What is it with me?

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

The persistent intrusive thoughts are a part of reflection of underlying different psychological conditions as obsessive compulsive disorder, depression, body dysmorphic disorder or others.
I recommend to consult an expert psychiatrist for the management of the same and get cured earliest.

Hope I have answered your query.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
