What Causes Persistent Infection In The Groin Area?

My son was diagnosed with an infection near his groin. It was a large red bump and pussy. He was put on two weeks of antibiotics and the area got somewhat better. Then with in a couple days The same type of thing showed up on his lower abdomen which was also diagnosed as an infection. Unfortunately he saw two different doctors and I am worried that can be something more going on. How can you get another infection if you ve been on antibiotics for two weeks? The second doctor put him on the same antibiotics that he was previously on. I am worried that he might have some kind of staff infection going on and I don t even know the correct type of doctor sent him to for that. He is 29 years old and in good health otherwise

hi sir/mam,please do not panic as it is a common infection called tinea cruris caused by fungus.we treat so many youngsters with the same problem.antifungal medications are very effective.please just cross check if your son had been compliant with the medication.avoid wearing tight innerwear, avoid moisture in that area, avoid scratching and please do not use any corticosteroid ointments as they spread the infection.topical antifungal medications are very effective.you can consult a dermatologist, who would definitely make things better.if you still have any issues to be solved,i'm always happy to help.take care.bye.
