Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I had benign brain tumor in 1999 - surgery that December. Another one developed about 10 years ago - radiation. I NEVER have headaches - but I have had a headache for a week. Trying to decide if I should call my brain surgeon. This is the first year I have been allowed to skip an MRI.
Thanks for your question on Healthcare Magic. I can understand your concern. In my opinion, you should consult neurologist and get done repeat MRI brain to rule out recurrence of brain tumor. Headache is the earliest symptom for brain tumor (benign or malignant). And you are had history of relapse of brain tumor. So MRI brain is must for you. Hope I have solved your query. I will be happy to help you further. Wish you good health. Thanks.
