What Causes Persistent Headache And Sinus Pressure After A Facial Injury?
I was punched in the face about five times. This occurred about four months ago, and I continue to suffer a constant tension headache and sinus pressure. However, I experienced no cognitive impairment or memory issues. Also, focusing on difficult problems (programming/math problems) is not an issue. I also did not lose consciousness or feel dazed after the blows. I experienced no amnesia; in fact I remember the fists hitting my face, as well as each second before and after.I have no history of head injury or TBI.I am 28 and otherwise in good health. Is it possible I simply received a neck injury and no actual brain trauma?

1. As the history of trauma is chronic but symptoms are persistent so consult a Neurologist or otolaryngiologist to differentiate sinogenic headache from non sinogenic one [ blow to the face may cause nasal fracture causing nasal obstruction causing aeration of sinus and headaches or damage to adjacent anatomic structures]
2. If headache is persistent: . check with eyesight . check blood pressure, sinus tenderness, spondylitis or for any focus of infection in teeth, tonsils & ears . A Neurologist may check for neurological signs as weakness of limbs or cranial nerves and might ask for C.T. Brain
