What Causes Persistent Diarrhea?

Hi: I took 4 Tbs of Milk of Magnesia last night and had a good-enough bowel movement this morning. (I have a tortuous, redundant colon). However, all day I have had diarrhea and it does not see to want to stop. I have a long trip to go on tomorrow with only one rest stop the entire distance. Is there something I can take to counteract the diarrhea?

Well come to HCM
Thank for asking and appreciate your concern, you ought not to take the medicine if you had not passed the stool or just because of worry of not passing the stool and that is the only thing happens when some one take the laxative or purgative without any proper or valid reason, such laxative or purgative may cause the unwanted diarrhea, now just do nothing now no need to stop the diarrhea but just care need to be taken for dehydration and be patience it will come around on it is own, but you will have to take care in diet, no solid food, no spicy, oily food, but try to have the liquid diet only, else it is nothing worry it will be fine soon hope this information helps.
