Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of persistent cough, shortness of breath and pain behind shoulder blade . Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like COPD symptoms , acute bronchitis , acid reflux , asthmatic condition , sleeping apnea or upper respiratory infection. For now eat light at night , take benadryl twice a day and keep your head elevated while lying down. Avoid intake of outside food. Avoid cold, carbonated beverages. I would suggest you to consult pulmonologist for proper examination. Doctor may order chest x-ray, blood test and check vitals along with vitals. Doctor may also refer you to orthopedic surgeon for shoulder blade pain , which can be caused by reasons like cervical spondylosis .Doctor may also refer you to ENT specialist for upper respiratory tract infection or post nasal drip or allergy specialist for asthma.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
