What Causes Persistent Cold Along With Blocked Nose?

i have been suffering from cold since onemonth and the symptoms are that my nose is blocked all the time specially in tha nigght...there are no other symptoms other than that...this problem increases as the weather temp decreases..i hav tried many medicines bt nothing is working...wht shall i do

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain persistent cold along with blocked nose with no other symptoms can be due to chronic upper respiratory tract infection while it can also be due to other common cause that is Sinus infection or Sinusitis..
I would suggest you to consult an Otolaryngologist and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation and investigation like throat swab culture, PNS view x ray of the sinuses along with chest x ray and blood tests can help in diagnosis and treatment can be done accordingly..
You can be advised a course of antibiotics, anti allergics, deconestants like Pseudoephadrine, along with steam inhalation, saline nasal irrigation and use a humidifier in your room..
You can take decongestant nasal spray containing Xylometazoline..
You can also chew a Vitamin C pellet daily..
