What Causes Persistent Buzzing Sound In Ears?

Hi.. I have Ear buzzing for 6 months now. Initially the doctor thought it could be an infection and I tried antibiotic for 10 days and then the ENT suggested it could be sinus because I live in an extremely cold place. After the scan it got ruled out. The buzzing is always there. I am able to manage the buzzing but at nights it s very difficult. What s the solution? I m 28 years

Dear- thanks for taking the time to consult HCM. I understand your concern and know that ear buzzing or tinnitus is a very common uncomfortable medical problems. Unfortunately, it does not have an specific treatment, unless we are able to identify the cause of it. Some possibilities are infection, wax, medications and rupture of the tympanic membrane. If you have chronic sinus infection, it might reflect to the ears and give you this problem too. The changes in air pressure can produce it. My advise is to get a second opinion from another ENT to see if he/she can identify the cause of it.
I hope that my advise has been helpful, feel free to ask me any other question if needed.
