What Causes Persistent Back Pain?

I have a pain in my back on my right side that hurts more when I inhale deeply. Went to the Doc had a chest xray, front/back and from the side and they said everything looked okay. I'ver had the pain for about 8 weeks now following a case of bronchitis and my athma seems to be getting worse. I have only recently started using an inhaler that doesn't really provide me with any relief.
