What Causes Persistent Abdominal Pain While On Ibuprofen?

I m experiencing lower abdominal pain that feel like bad menstrual cramps or maybe an ulcer. I ve had the pain for 2days and it s a very painful constant pain that doesn t go away when I take 600mg ibuprofen. I m not nauseaus or throwing up and I dont have any foul discharge. I ve been taking Lasix for water retention which has caused me to kind of have irregular spotting instead of my normal cycle. Do you think it could be menstrual cramps or an ulcer? It hasn t gone away with a pain killer

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi and thanx for being part of our virtual clinic!

1. Is the pain related to food? Does it get worse or better after eating?
If yes, go meet a gastrolog and have an upper fibroscopy

2. If no, guess it is related to the menstrual cycle
Try taking buscopan, which relaxes the musculature of vessels

3. Have a visit at your doctor, abdominal echography would help a lot

Let's keep in touch!
