What Causes Persistent Abdominal Pain Radiating To The Testicles?

My husband is having a dull pain on his left side, initially thought it was stomach cramps, the pain seems to just left of center of his abdomen. The pain is at waist level but gravitates lower to his testicles. It doesn t hurt to urinate, and he can t find an obvious hernia. It hurts to walk, and is uncomfortable laying down, but doesn t hurt to sit. He has had the pain for days, and it has yet to go away. It could be abdominal, but not sure what that would be. He does have Ulcerative Colitis. He says it isn t like the sharp pain he gets with UC, and the pain isn t where his UC pain has typically been.
