What Causes Peripheral Neuropathy, Eosinophilic Esophagitis And Gastric Reflux?

I have increasing peripheral neuropathy in my hands, feet, and legs and am having a difficult time getting responses or diagnoses from physicians I ve seen, including ER and the neurosurgeon they referred me to. I also have other symptoms like a sudden spike in blood pressure (150s/160s over 100-115) over at least three weeks, ovarian cysts, eosinophilic esophagitis, acute gastric reflux, and a history of capsulitis in my feet. The neuropathy seems to be worsening, as is my balance, and every appointment I can get is three weeks away minimum. This episode of neuropathy began 2/15. 1) Should I be worried at how long it s taking to get treatment or diagnosis? 2) Any ideas?

Hi,

Thanks for your question on HCM
I do understand your pain and discomforts

As per your clinical history is concerned let me clarify each point which you have raised-:
1)For your neuropathy check your sugar in blood and take vitamin B-12 injection 4 times weekly up to one month then once a month.
2)Regarding blood pressure you need investigation and treatment to see if your pressure is primary or secondary in origin.so do lipid profile, renal profile, ECG, and urine [RE/ME]. After physical examination your doctor will prescribe medications for you like beta blocker, calcium Chanel blocker and vasodilators etc so talk with your doctor now.
3)Regarding ovarian cyst I may say that what is the size of it ?is it greater than 10 cm or not if less than nothing to be worried only medication like [OCP] will help, if you have ultrasound done you can share your image if you like. You can discuss with you Gyn doctor about it.
4)for eosinophilic esophagitis & acute gastric reflex you need an endoscopic examination and your gastroenterologist will take four samples from different places. Do a CBC with differential, .you can take pantaprazole 20 mg once a day up to 16 weeks then repeat endoscopy.
5)For capsulitis you can take steroid orally and treat yourself conservative way ,if no result then we can think about a minor surgical procedure procedure so for it you can make a physical examination by your orthopedic doctor.

Hope you got all your answers ,if any doubt arises let me know i will guide you further.

Hope that helps
