What Causes Pelvic Pain And Frequent Urination White Treating Kidney Cyst?

Hi Doctor,An ultrasound last week showed an 81 mm simple kidney cyst on my right kidney.I am a 58 yr old male with no kidney disease history in my family ( I have 5 smaller cysts on my left kidney).Last year my hypertension went through the roof and my lower back/pelvis pain has worsened.Could the cyst be pressing on any organs which is causing me to relax my gut muscles too much & also could it be causing me to urinate too frequently- my GP says no, but what is your opinion.Regards, Warren.

Pathologist and Microbiologist 's  Response
Hello,

The size of the cyst is large enough to compress surrounding organs. Complications like pain, hemorrhage, etc can occur in the cyst. I suggest you to consult your nephrologist for clinical assessment and thus further management plan.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
