What Causes Panic Attacks And Low Self Confidence After Discontinuing Escitalopram?
My doctor told me about 5 years back that I had IBS and OCD. Since then, I have been on irregular medication for IBS (Omeprazole) and OCD (sZetalo 10mg). A couple of years back my OCD worsened due to stress at work and I went into depression. I saw a doctor who advised me Escitaloprem (20mg), I took medicines for about a year but started feeling a lot of side effects e.g. weight gain, headache, lethargy etc. I stopped taking medicines and started feeling better after about a couple of months of stopping. Since then, 1 year has passed and since recently I have again started feeling symptoms i.e. fear of everything, worry about future, not enjoying life, panic attacks, low self-confidence etc. Is it depression? Is there a permanent cure to this?

Possible causes like ventricular dysfunction where the pumping action of the heart is impaired must be ruled out. Consult a cardiologist and get evaluated. An echo test is required for further assessment.
