Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am daily taking enalapril and have had no side effects. however, at 84 years of age I am experiences feelings of heart pumping occasionally and a strong feeling of pulse near the top of the left side of my head. This occurrence has only been in the last 4 months. I regularly see my primary doctor and the reports have all been normal.
HELLO Enalapril is used to treat hypertension, heart failure and kidney problem, but in some cases, there's some side effects like palpitations which is a rare side effect, but can be found in some patient especially after the age of 60 and after 5 years of treatment.
I suggest that you should report that problem to your doctor to evaluate your condition and to see if there's a need to decrease the dose or changing the drug. Hope I answered your question Wish you a speedy recovery Best regards Dr. Noor Farid
