What Causes Palpitations While On Creatine Monohydrate?
i am a 45yr old male. 180lb. i lift weights and eat clean 90% of the time. rarely drink alcohol, havent had any since dec. do not smoke ,do not use any drugs. using dr. prescribed syntrhoid 50mcg and testosterone 200mg a week. i was diagnosed with wolff parkinsons white about 5yr ago. have been able to keep my symptoms under control through diet. i have recently been using creatine monohydrate for the past 2 months. recently in the past week have develop heart palpitations. sometimes ,as no, my heart feels like it skps a beat every 10 beats or so. then will go a few min. and not skip then start again. could there be a connection here?
Further evaluation will be needed to know the exact cause of palpitation and feeling of skipped heartbeats. I will advise you see the doctor for a cardiovascular examination. You should also have your BP checked. An ECG may help to know if your symptoms could be caused by an arrhythmic problem.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Mbuomboh Veranso
