Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hello I am a 33 year old woman currently being investigated for ? Pituatry tumour , ? Hashimotos. I am still lactating 22 months after ceasing breast feeding and have been experiencing palpitations and tremors. Am awaiting results of a brain MRI but the last week or so have developed a full left breast and left shoulder pain that is increasingly more uncomfortable . Could this be all a part of a pituatry tumour / issue ? I see the doctor in one week but is it worth going earlier or should I just wait ? Thanks Elly

General & Family Physician, Dr. Vasudha's Response
Hi,
Your lactation problem is definitely hormonal &can be connected with pituitary tumor & your left shoulder could be attributed to breast engorgement. But with history of accompanied palpitations in my view cardiac check up should be done to exclude/confirm heart involvement.
In case the same shoulder pain & palpitations continue. You should get the thing cleared with a cardiologist & see your doctor in due time.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Vasudha Jayant Athavale, General & Family Physician
