What Causes Palpitations Along With Tunnel Vision And Breathing Difficulty?

Today while driving, my heart began racing. It lasted about 15-20 seconds. I was able to get my car safely off the road but as it was happening I developed tunnel vision and could barely breathe. After it was over I felt extreme weakness and breathlessness. I had park in a lot and lay back for about 30 mins before I felt strong enough to continue. The rest of the day I was weak an shaky. Do I need to go see a doctor or is this just something that is a thing that happens? Male,45,white,non-smoker

Hi,
Thanks for the query I understand your concern.
The symtoms yiu had similate to those of defect in transient blood circulation to heart.
It definitely needs emmediate attention.you need to take medication for prevention/immediate aid in case it happens again.
You have to see a cardiologist ... get investigated to confirm the cause &start with specific medication.
On personal front you need to quit over stress,smoking,swimming,have a comfortable life style with a balanced diet with controlled calories/mild exercise like normal walking/yoga,meditation./ optimum sleep& regular medical check ups till you fully recover.
