What Causes Palpable Lymph Nodes On Neck In An HIV-negative Person?

After my exposure to HIV on March I did a rapid test called advanced quality and my results were negative. 14 weeks same test results were negative and at 6 months results were negative but I have small pulpable lymph nodes on on neck and behind my right ear...is it HIV or something else that causes these nodes to be pie- sized enlarged

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
As all tests for HIV is negative, your problem might be due to non specific enlarged lymph nodes in that area.
It indicates that there might be having some infection in surrounding area like oral cavity, scalp, ears etc.
Consult your doctor and get examined.
Ok and take care.
