What Causes Painless Hard Bump Above Ear?

Hi, I have a hard bump slightly ebove my temple near the top of my ear. It feels like bone, it does not hurt, I don t have it on my other side of head. I m not sure if it s been their my whole life. Is it my skull? I m nervous it s cancerous. What could it be?

Hi,Thanks for your query. After going through your query I came to know that you are probably having osteoma slightly above temple near the top of ear as it is bony hard and not painful. It is a benign enlargement of bone .It is not cancerous.You not need to worry.It does not require any treatment except if it is looking bad cosmetically then it can be removed.You can discuss with your treating Doctor about it.
