What Causes Painful Urination And Lower Abdominal Pain?

Hello & merry christmas! My 20 year old son is complaining of painful urination,pain around the kidney/bladder area,He also informs me that the pain radiates to just underneath his bellybutton.I'm not sure what sort of infection this is,based on these symptoms.Please help!

Hello dear
I understand your concern and happy chrismas.

Symptoms could be due to urinary tract infection/cystitis, kidney infection.
I would suggest to consult urologist and undergo clinical examination, urine tests, routine blood tests like CBC, ESR, KFT, USG scan.
Following treatment will help:
Tablet septran DS
Tablet pyridium
Syrup cital
Drink plenty of water and juice of cranberry, orange and pineapple
Maintain proper pelvic hygiene.
Other specific treatment depend on specific cause and tests result.
