Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I went to the dr today due to a smell (boiled eggs) with my urine and slight pain on my left side and pressure when I need to urine. The urine text showed a little blood in my urine but nothing else. I no longer have a cycle. The dr sent the the urine to the lab for further test but have me an antibiotic. I am a 50 year old healthy female. What could be the problem?
I think that you are having urinary tract infection which is very common, even more, common in females. most probably your urine lab test will come back with few pus cells which are diagnostic of UTI treatment for this is a full course of antibiotic which you have already started and very soon we will see you getting relieved off all your symptoms. also, drink a lot of water for speeding recovery.
do let me know what your urine test came up with.
hope this was helpful and do ask if you have any other related questions.
regards Dr. Akash Kumar
