Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I had open myomectomy 3 weeks ago... Since then I have severe pain when I pee and when I pass stools.... Pain is so severe that I m unable to bear.... Urine culture is done... But there is no urine infection.. .then what could b the reason behind the pain??
The pain you asked about can be due to undue stress on the myomectomy scar. Urination or defecation makes the pain worse especially when too much straining is involved as in constipation. The scar will take 2-3 months for atleast half its strength during that period you can use less straining techniques, fiber diet, and low dose pain killers temporarily. If still it does not work then other causes of that pain should be investigated.
