What Causes Painful Swelling In The Body After Taking Cortisone Shot While On Estradiol?
I am having a local reaction to a cortisone injection my doctor gave me this afternoon...swelling and Pain. I m on estradiol patch which I see there can be a problem with the estradiol my exacerbate the this reaction. My question is will this just go away? Do I need to call the doctor?

Hi,
Sometimes corticosteroids injection has an inflammation reaction at the injection site. I don't think it is related to the estrogen injection. You can put ice on it. Use any antihistamines such as Benadryl or Cetirizine. Use Ibuprofen for pain and swelling.
