What Causes Painful Spot On The Waist Line?

The side of my mid section right in the love handles on the left side has a specific spot with some pain. I can work out, press on it, eating and drinking are no problem, just a concentrated spot of pain. I used to drink a lot, but have not not had alcohol for a few days. Just hope its not the liver. No jaundice and everything else feels fine.

Hello and welcome to HCM,
Pain on specific spot in the loin area needs to be investigated.
Is there any visible lesion on skin in the region?
The pain is unlikely to be due to liver problem since the liver is not situated in this region.
The skin in the region need to be examined for any local lesion.
If the lesion is within normal limits, an ultrasound abdomen can be done to assess the status of abdominal organs.
There is a possibility of musculoskeletal pain also.
However, a clinical assessment by your primary healthcare provider is required followed by relevant investigations.

Thanks and take care
