What Causes Painful Pimple On Groin Area?

I have a small (size of tip of my pinky finger) almost zit like thing in my groin that just showed up. Its slightly bruised looking tho I haven't touched it. It feels like a pimple that can't come to a head. Not hot to touch, not hard, but its tender like a zit...?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,Welcome to the HCM.
It can a boil or swollen lymph node ,because of local infection. If you get fever or other symptoms of internal infection ,you must be checked by a physician.Other wise get proper hygienic measures and apply antiseptic ointment two times a day.
If it increases in size gradualy then you may need some antibiotic (amoxicillin) to eradicate the infection.

Internal Medicine Specialist Dr. Devendra Kumar Tripathi 's  Response
It is tender to touch and is a single lesion . It may be the inflammation of your hair roots. We can't comment much on that without seeing picture of the lesions . You plz consult a dermatologist for the same but if it is not possible u can use topical antibacterial ointment .
