What Causes Painful Numbness In The Hand While Treating A Ganglion Cyst?

I have a ganglion cyst. The last month or so have had numbness , tingling- pins and needles, just horrible pain and can not move my hand, make a fist. If in middle of night I wake up just crying from the pain. I run hot water over it to get movement. It actually feels like I can t feel my hand at all

the size of the cyst can fluctuate...often getting larger when you use that joint for repetitive motions.ganglion cysts are usually pain less.But if a cyst presses on a nerve even if it is too small to form a noticeable lump...it can cause pain,tingling,numbness or muscle weakness...
