Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have a cubital lymph nodes swollen to the size of large Jawbreakers. They are very painful and have been there for over 8 weeks. I just found out they are lymph nodes. I thought they where granulomas from a surgery I had a few months ago. I am kind of worried because I have a solid mass in my cervix that I have been postponing having removed. The oncologist said he is confident it should not be cancer but it has grown to double the size in one year. I was waiting till I felt my body was ready for another surgery to have such an invasive surgery before having the growth removed. Now that I realize that these large painful bumps are Lymph nodes, I am concerned that my growth my indeed be cancerous. Should I go ahead with the surgery as soon as I can get scheduled, even though I don t feel ready? Or should I wait till I feel my body has the strength to take the intrusion that this surgery will bring.
