Hi, i have an enquiry... I have recently come across a lump on the left hand side of the back of my head. I would say that is about the same size as a walnut, it is painfull and i am getting severe headaches within that area. Lately i have been feeling faint and when i have this symptom i feel cold and pail. please help me! as i have my year 10 exams coming up and i need to concentrate. What is this lump and do i need medical attention?
Hi I did recommend your condition. From your descriptioin the lump seems to be some cyst that is infected. I would recommend antibiotic therapy after consulting doctor and if the swelling becomes less painful but remains there a fine needle aspiration cytology(FNAC) would help to diagnose as well as to therapeutically reduce the swelling if there is fluid inside it. Such a lump is mostly benign in nature due to epidermal inclusion cyst, lipoma, fibroma but can rarely be something malignant and so cytological diagnosis is the best for further removal and treatment decisions. I hope this helps. wish you all the best. thank you for choosing healthcaremagic.
