What Causes Painful Itchy Bumps On Forehead?

Hello, I woke up on monday morning to find what i thought was a pimple in the middle of my forehead. but when i woke up Tuesday i had another one right under it. And one on My right eyebrow. So i put benadryl cream to stop the itchyness and for pain. I woke up today on Wednesday to fine three more bumps. One on hairline, on my head and around my ear lobe. I havent changed anything or done anything. Please help. Thanks.

Hello,

I can understand your concern for painful itchy bumps on forehead. After analyzing your query it appears that you have got infection by shingles or medially known as Herpes zoster. It is quite common to find painful grouped bumps over one side of body and then have severe pain over the same.
I prefer to give antiviral tablet such as Acyclovir or famcyclovir as per the body weight in all your kind of cases. For the interim of the help you can take a pain killer such as paracetamol for two times a day. You can take further guidance from a dermatologist.
