What Causes Painful Glands In Neck And Fatigue While On Sulfasalazine?
I was prescribed sulfasalazine for arthritis 26 days ago and am now up to 4 /500mg per day. I have been feeling very unwell for about 10 days ,swollen painful glands in my neck and base of my skull extreme fatigue and rapid heart rate. I put this down to sinus infection which I am prone to but feel more like I did when I had cellulitis a few years ago. Could it be the sulfasalazine? Am not due to see my rheumatologist for about six weeks. I also take four medications for high blood pressure and other arthritis medication

The swollen neck glands may be due to other causes for which you must see a physician, possibly some infection, and some antibiotic may be required after doing some tests like complete blood count, ESRbest wishes
