Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I woke up couple of days ago with pain in top of my foot, kind of above the arch across the top/inner side if that makes sense. It feels as if I d previously dropped something heavy on it, kind of as if it s bruised underneath - but I haven t done anything to it and it was fine when I went to bed
For these symptoms analgesic and anti-inflammatory can be started.
Till time take medication and apply crepe bandage over foot or use supportive splint. Do ice fomentation and rest to foot.
If pain persists you may need x ray foot to rule out stress fracture, you can consult your doctor and do required investigation.
If you see any signs of infection like raised local temperature, increase in pain then you should consult your doctor immediately.
Hope this answers your query. If you have additional questions or follow up queries then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to answer your queries.
Wishing you good health.
Take care.
