What Causes Painful Cluster Of Bumps On The Lower Back And Buttock?

Last week I had pulled a muscle on the back of my right thigh, or at least I assumed so. Yesterday I began getting painful hive like spots in clusters on my right buttock and lower back. They are still there, I haven t changed anything I use or eat, and my leg is still painful. Are these related? or just a coincidence.

General & Family Physician 's  Response

Hi
Thank you for asking HCM.
I have gone through your query. Your problem can be due to herpes zoster. If you send a picture of the rash then it will be more helpful. You can apply anti viral creams like Acyclovir for this. Taking oral anti viral drugs like Valacyclovir will be helpful to get early recovery and get relief. You can approach your GP for this. In case of more pain medications like Pregabalin or Gabapentin can be taken for short term.

Hope this may help you. Let me know if anything not clear.
Thanks.
