What Causes Painful Bumps On The Palms And Fingers?

I have small ( 1/8 inch diameter) mulitple bumps show up only on palms and palm side of fingers on both hands. My wife is experienceing them as well. They seem to be hard, and eventually go away after a week or so. They are painful (similar to a pin prick). They seem to have a light brown center dot on them, almost as through its the pore in the skin. Any suggestions, causes, treatments?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Post spinal fusion surgery also needs regular physiotherapy and good diet to maintain good spinal health, barring which, the degenerative changes proceed, changes in vertebrae aggravate &one day the symptoms restart. I would advise to get a reassessment of the spinal state, consult your orthopedist for needful treatment-oral medication, rest, hot / cold pack would relieve pain followed by physiotherapy. This may be fine before any drastic meds like epidural. Go according to experience and advise.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Vasudha Jayant Athavale, General & Family Physician
