What Causes Painful Bump On Finger?

I have bumps near the top of my fingers just a bit lower than the nails, the one on my small finger (right hand)'is slightly painful! I am wondering if these bumps are osteo arthritis? I remember my mother having them on her fingers!! I am 55 years old.

HI
Well come to HCM
I really appreciate your concern, if this is not paining and does not increase in size then this is nothing to worry, this could be either wart of corn, but this may not be arthritis, actually such lesion demand the clinical observation for perfect clinical diagnosis, if this is not hurting and since many days it is there then stop worrying, if this is not chronic and paining then clinical examination may required, hope this information helps, take care, have a nice day
