What Causes Painful Bruise On The Buttocks After An Injury?

I fell down the steps on my bottom. My bruise is horrible but the pain in my left buttocks is worse than the pain of the brusing. It actually has healed where the pain is and now there is a bruised line in its place. It s been over a week and it hurts to sit or lay on the side. However, I can still run with minimal pain.

Hi
Welcome to the health care magic and thanks for asking your query here

As per your medical history your injury is getting better quite well and is a good sign
A bruise is collection of blood beneath the skin and will take few more time to go away completely , you can apply hot packs on the bruised area and can take over the counter pain medications like ibuprofen to relieve pain
Also avoid prolong sitting, ald also try sitz bath by sitting in warm water for 10 min 2 to 3 times a day

If your pain and discomfort still persist after 2 weeks and u find any lumpor solified mass at the place of bruised area than u should visit your doctor for further evaluation of condition

I hope it helps
Thanks again for the question
