What Causes Painful Bright Orange Lumps In My Throat?
Hello I m 16, for the past 2 days my throat has been increasing in pain as time passes, I struggle to swallow my own sliver! I decided to inspect further with a light and camera, there I noticed on the picture was bright orange lumps covering the back of my throat, what is wrong ?
Hi Thanks for writing in. I suspect what you saw in your throat were ectopic lymph nodes that were swollen because of the throat infection that you have. I would advice you to gargle with warm saline water to get some relief from your pain and watch your situation for a couple of days. If it's a viral infection, your condition will improve in a couple of days.
However, if you have cough or sputum, please see your doctor right away for a physical examination and starting a course of antibiotics.
Hope this helps! Please feel free to write back for any more questions that you may have.
