Yes, my 40 year old son is having blisters on his feet especially around his toes. They are painfull and bleeding. Unable to wear shoes. He lives in Wyoming and in the military. He has an appointment with a specialist, but I was hoping we could get him some relief.

General & Family Physician, Dr. Vasudha's Response
Hi, Thanks for the query. I undrstand your concern. He needs antibiotic like Althrocin 500mg twice a day along with anti inflammatory pills Ibugesic group twice a day . Vitamin B comolex &vitamin C suppliments hasten healing. Cleaning of feet with warm water &soap .. drying it well followed by sprinkling with antibiotic.. antifungal( Neosporine ) powder over the counter.Avoiding contact wirh dust/dirt or water. It seems to be due to continuos wearing of shoes&socks making skin humd &warm with sweat &generation of fungi to start infection followed by secondary infection by bacteria. Foot care &hygiene will be of prime importance for his profession. It would be by good cleaning of feet&socks . Keeping skin open for few hours in a day.cleaning snhoes weekly &exposing them to sunlight &sptrinkling anti fungal powder before wearing shoes.
