Hi doctor my five and a half year old niece Natalie has a rash in her innie bellybutton stump knot that goes straight up from the inside of her bellybutton up her chest to her already fully developed nipples is that normal? And her bellybutton is red to the touch and she cries when I push on it. The rash occurs in her bellybutton chest and nipples after she pees herself in her diapers at night. Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi,

This suggests an infection there which might need antibiotic treatment. If this is happening again and again, we have to rule out any anomalies there, like a sinus or hernia. Kindly take her to your pediatrician for evaluation. Meanwhile, give her Acetaminophen for pain relief.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Muhammed Aslam T. K., Pediatrician
