What Causes Painful And Recurring Bump In Armpits?

I have reoccurring cyst like bumps that are extremely painful in my armpits. They come and go but keep coming back in each armpit constantly. I currently have 3 under one arm and 1 under the other. Once they go away I will have more, it just keep happening and they are so sore. What could this be?

Hi

Recurrent development of painful nodules in the axilla could either be suggestive of folliculitis infection or it could be a sign of hidradenitis suppurativa .
You should keep the affected area clean and dry by washing with lukewarm saline water twice a day followed by application of a topical antibiotic cream.
You might need treatment with long term antibiotic drugs .
