Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am having pain when rotating my head left and right. I do not have full range of motion in this movement. There is a spot on the back of my neck just posterior to the sternocleidomastoid muscle and near the base of my head that hurts when palpated. It also hurts when I blow my nose.
Hi, From history it seems that you might be having some degenerative changes in your cervical spines giving rise this problem. There is possibility of having cervical spondilitis. Go for x-ray cervical region and find out the cause. Consult orthopedic surgeon and get examined. Physiotherapy and short way diathermy will be helpful. Avoid putting pillow under the neck while sleeping. Ok and take care.
