What Causes Pain Under The Shoulder Blade And Back?
Hello, I have a strange pain in the left side of my back, from under the shoulder blade down to just above my hip. I haven t had any traumatic movement or accidents lately, though I do have a history of serious injury (Fused vertebrae, broken neck, back, legs, arm, etc.) This new pain came out of nowhere, and for 3 days I ve been icing and resting with little to no improvement. There is also a strange skin condition in the same area, almost looks like a rash or a freeze burn from the icing? It s sensitive to the touch, and my entire left back area is very tender, and warm to the touch. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have pain under the shoulder blade and back . Well there can be many reason for symptoms you mention in query like musxle spasm of back . pain due to trigger points of trapezius muscle , cerviral spondolysis , shoulder joint problem , lung infection or cardiac problem . I would suggest you to take ibuprofen or acetaminophen for pain and swelling , do light stretching exercises of upper back and shoulder , apply warm compresses on affected area or start physical therapy of back . Consult orthopedic surgeon for proper diagnosis . Doctor may order X-ray or CT scan . Doctor may prescribe muscle relaxant along with supplements . Doctor may also refer you to chest specialist or cardiologist .
